Warning: I am reviewing a rated R movie, it’s mandatory to include this disclaimer.
Background Information:
The movie known as Deadpool and Wolverine has been breaking box office records, but why? Well, this almost spoiler-free review will answer that question. The main spoilers in this article are featured in the trailers. Enjoy the review.
What is Deadpool and Wolverine? Deadpool and Wolverine is the 3rd Deadpool movie, with the first one being released all the way back in 2016. This is the very first rated R marvel cinematic universe movie. It has tons of action, comedy, and emotional moments all packed in the film. It has been breaking countless box office records, making around 1.5 billion dollars! This movie is the most profitable rated R movie, surpassing Joker and the highest grossing X-Men movie. As it’s filled with countless cameos and fan moments, this was to be expected.
My Review:
As I said, this review could contain some small spoilers, all featured in the trailers of the movie. However, I recommend you watch the movie, if it has been released digitally by the time you’re reading this. Enjoy the review.
This film was great. But in my opinion, the plot of the movie was not the strongest. The villain didn’t have the greatest motive, but that’s typical for a Deadpool movie. The action was great, especially the opening fight scene and ending fight scene. This is a movie made for the fans, so if you’re an outsider to marvel there is a high chance you will not understand many moments of the movie. The emotional scenes and comedy in this film was great, it got very serious when it needed too.
When you see a comic book movie, there is bound to be action and fight scenes and this movie did not under-deliver. The action in this movie was great, surpassing many other Marvel fight scenes. This movie has tons of humor in the fight scenes too, which balances out perfectly with the gruesome special effects.
Other student’s thoughts:
Eli Kodner, a student at West Seattle High School, says, “I liked the soundtrack”. Other students say they haven’t seen the movie because they “don’t care” or are “not fans of the MCU”, as said by Razpe Carlson and Dylan Bryant.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts:
I hope you enjoyed my review of the movie known as Deadpool and Wolverine. This movie is a solid 8/10. Not the strongest plot with the villain but I think the action and humor makes up for this.
